Termites – Australia’s No.1 Intruder

Some people may keep a cricket bat beside their bed, or beside their front door, as a form of protection from an unwelcome intruder but as you can see from these photos, a cricket bat provides no protection from Australia’s most destructive intruders – TERMITES! This photo was taken recently at a clients home on the Central Coast and as you can see the bat was eaten right to the outer cover.

Termites are a huge problem here in Australia. We have the most destructive termites in the world. 1 in 4 houses in Australia will be attacked by termites in their lifetime, this damage is estimated to cost homes and businesses around $1 billion dollars annually. Household insurance does not cover termite damage.

The best defence against termites is to be proactive and have a termite preventive system installed around your home.
